Holter Monitoring

Holter MonitorHolter Monitoring is a used to measure electrical activity in the nervouse system for a minimum of twenty four hours. It is mainly used to monitor the heart and brain. It can be worn for months at a time to look for patterns and problems the patient is having. We use this state-of-the-art device to analyze our patients' heart and brain behaviors. It gives a full electrocardiogram analysis of the patients electrical activities during the time the device is worn.

What It Does

A holter monitor is similar to an EKG except it is worn for a minimum of 24 hours so that the physicians can see patterns in the activity throughout the day. It can help determine the reasons behind some of these symptoms:

  • Shortness of Breathe
  • Dizziniess
  • Blackouts
  • Chest Pains
