Mammography

MammographyThe process of using a form of X-ray to examine the human breast. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer. It uses a low dose of x-rays to create the imaging. It is able to find problems within the area up to 2 years before any symptoms are visible to the patient or the doctor. This procedure uses the lowest possible amount of radiation so that there is minimal exposure to the patient.

Benefits

There are many instances when you only need minimal exposure to radiation to get the result that are desired. Mammography gives you this and there is no radiation left in the patient after the procedure and no side effects.. The following are examples of what it detects.
